This is a peculiar shot indeed. The Boston Marathon is running on an overcast, wet day while the cars next to the runners are casting shadows! This must have taken some time to create.

This is a great introduction to gigapan--except that it's so much fun, I can't tear myself away to look at other photos (or go back to work)! Fun & beautiful!

This is one of best exploration gigapan's I've seen. Looks like multiple gigas with many added elements. I'd love to know how many days of post work the author put into it.

It would have been nicer if those things to explore where real. Many of those people you have added to the pictures are so obvious that they have been cut out of other pictures. Next time try to edit them better. Overall this is a great gigapixl photo.

This image was taken repeatedly over about a 30-day period with different lighting conditions and different cameras that were then combined. This resulted in some image elements looking less natural then others. However, almost all events happened more or less as shown at some time during the month.

how on earth are you able to use photoshop on these large files? i sure as hell can't :(

Why so much Photoshopping?? Waldo is funny, but once you realize it's Photoshopped, it's not as cool. The pano is cool enough on its own without adding so many things that are clearly fake.

Don't need to Photoshop the large file. You add Waldo, butterfly, whatever to the individual shots before they are stitched.

Dear Eric B. I really like what you've done here. I am trying to do something similar and would love your advice. Can you write me via will@liquidadvertising.com? Thanks, Will A.

the butterfly snapshot is rather cheesy. the shadow of cars and that of light poles and pedestrians are all different directions. I wont even mention the butterflies shadow... good job though... but cheesy.
