Wahclella Falls is another wonderfull waterfall in the Columbia river gorge on the Oregon side of the river. It is located at exit 40 off of I-84 next to the Bonneville dam. The flow of water is voluminous in the summer months as well as spring.

This is a wonderful, but lesser known view of Mt Hood from near Parkdale, Oregon north east of the mountain. During late August and early September you are able to fully appreciate all of the hazards relating to glaciers as well as see the underlying ground and its characteristics. Later in the fall and winter the view will be more aesthetically pleasing, but you will not be able to discern these details that are of interest to climbers, hikers, and geologists.

Mt Hood Timberline. This is the most often used route for climbing Mt Hood. You can see Illumination rock to the left which is an point of reference to use when looking at this other panorama of Mt Hood from the west and farther away.

Smith Rock State Park, Oregon ( south western portion of rock mass )
This panorama of the south western portion of the Smith Rock mass is centered on the Horse ford with Asterisk Pass to the right hand side of the panorama. You can see a rock climber which is top roped with a belayer and another climber free climbing without any gear to place temporary anchors which is not recommended.
