This is a "time lapse snapshot" of a disc golf tournament in Huntington Beach, California. Disc golf is like regular golf, but uses frisbees instead of balls and clubs. The holes are metal baskets with chains designed to catch the discs. For more info, check out www.pdga.com.
For this panorama, I took shots of many different players driving, putting, and walking the course over a 2 hour period. Then I overlayed the action shots on the gigapan image, creating what I'm calling a "time lapse snapshot" of the final round (18 holes) of the open division at the tournament.

This is the view from Mount Jan Jacinto after riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tram up the mountain. The tram is a rotating gondola which takes you 2.5 miles up the face of the mountain. http://www.pstramway.com/ (Key Grip: Ben Wills) BTW, there is a Peregine Falcon perched in one of the trees... can you find it?

The Laguna de Apoyo is a crater lake with beautiful blue water, which is heated from below by the volcano. This was the view from our lakeside spot, where we had lunch and lounged in hammocks. (Key Grip: Matt Wilczynski)

This is the view at sunset from the rim of the Cerro Negro volcano in northwestern Nicaragua. After taking this, we strapped on snowboards and "sandboarded" down the face of the volcano... intense. (Key Grip: Matt Wilczynski)

This is the view of the rooftops of Granada, a beautiful colonial city in Nicaragua. You can see Volcan Mombacho towering over the city to the south, and Lake Nicaragua is in the background, past the cathedral. This scene was shot from the bell tower of the Iglesia de la Merced.

After a 90 minute 4x4 ride over rocky "roads" to a forest canopy zip line tour, we arrived at the base on Volcan Mombacho. The view was gorgeous, but even more amazing was the swarm of butterflies, concentrated on these poinsetta-like plants. There are a lot of them... how many can you find? Labor Day weekend on Lake Shasta... the water level is much lower than normal this year. (Shasta is a major water source for Northern CA, and the water level is dropping about 5" per day! Each of the lines on the bank is one day's worth of erosion from the level dropping. Anyone who does not believe that California has an impending water crisis should see this.) The scene was surreal, but very relaxing. Check out the doppelgängers in the boat and on the water.

The water is heated from below by geothermal vents of the old volcano. Not bathwater temp, but definitely warmer than expected.
