This is a 6-shot handheld panorama taken along the ridge of the extinct Kohala volcano. This is looking WSW down the coastline but unfortunately the vog is obscuring anything beyond about 10 miles.

This panorama was taken by Scott Parazynski on 7 May 2009 at IMG Camp II on Mt. Everest in Nepal at an elevation of 6,600 meters (21,500 feet). A GigaPan Epic and Canon PowerShot G9 were used. This image is 330 degree panorama. The SD card in use was of insufficient size to capture a full 360 degrees.
Begining at far left you can observe a small portion of the west face of Everest, with a backdrop of clouds just behind Lhotse (the dark summit just inset from the border; this is the 4th high...

A small mining and gambling town nestled behind Pikes Peak. This GigaPan was taken with a Canon 5D MK II (21 MP) camera and Really Right Stuff Panoramic equipment. 41 images were taken and composited in Autopan software. It is far easier to use the GigaPan Epic and a Canon G10 with GigaPan's software. I am printing the 1.5 GB file to 50x285 inches on a Canon iPF9000 printer. The 5D MK II did give a higher reolution result. The lens on the 5D MK II was a 100-400mm set to 260mm.

Morning pano of Mono Lake taken with a panorama rig from Really Right Stuff and the Canon EOS 5D MK II and a 70-200mm f/2.8 attached. Zoomed to 200mm. Note the kayakers and a bird nest on one of the tufa formations. Three images were taken at each of 22 positions(total of 66). One at 2 stops over, one at normal, and one at 2 stops under exposed. The sets were proceessed in Photomatix software and then stitched. The final image was optimized in Photoshop.

The memorial was dedicated in the Spring of 1999 to honor the 134 SMU students who died during World War II. The plaza surrounding it was a gift to the University from Henry S. Here is a list of names on the memorial:
