A first test with the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D ´W1´ digicam. An interesting pretty small 3d-cam with 77mm stereobase. Many problems (jumps in perspective, etc) have to be resolved and many tests have to be done ( stitching methods, maximum possible image size, etc..). I consider this a nice challenge.
BTW: the 3D-jobs such as calibration, stereobase aligning, re-calibration of far-point, adding anaglyph-colors (etc..) are done with the freeware ´Stereophotomaker´ (ver. 4.12). Many thanks...

Dactylospora sp. (Ascomycota, Fungi). 3D Anaglyph for Red/Cyan Goggles. This macro photo was taken with a Canon A2000IS and magnification optics. Both the left and right half-image consists of> 700 frames, first stacked (CombineZP), then stitched and then converted to a 3D image (Stereophotomaker Ver. 4.13). Unfortunately, the maximum size for SPM is only about 12000 x 6000 pix. For that reason, the 3D image is smaller than the 2d version here: http://www.gigapan.org/gigapans/50564/

Altough the entire pano seems to be ok, there are many problems in the detail of 2-rowed 3d-panos when anaglyphs are rendered first with StereophotoMaker (ver.4.13) and then stitched with the Gigapan stitcher. IMO, this has nothing to do with the Digicam itself..
This 360° panorama is a Dubois-Anaglyph optimized for red/cyan goggles.

Seastacks and coastal terraces beside the Pacific Coast Highway between Bodega Head and Jenner, California.
To the best of my knowledge this GigaPan is the world's first full gigapixel anaglyph image. In order to view the image in 3D you'll need a pair of red/blue anaglyph glasses (you may have a pair in your collection of National Geographic Magazines). Warning: although I've done what I could to minimize it, if you view this GigaPan at full zoom the image separation in some...

You will need red/cyan glasses for viewing this in 3D. I recommend the full screen viewer , zoom to fill the screen, and using the arrows to move left or right.

This lab is used for tissue preparation of whole-mount slides.
Tissue is sliced at 3-5 mm thickness and then fixed and embedded.
Breast slides of 5" x 7" are serial sectioned to generate 3-D volumes of tissue. They can be H&E stained or immuno-stained.
Left side- Stainless counter for handling fresh tissue - Slicer in fume hood
centre - Tissue processors, standard and microwave.
Right side - embedding and staining section.Standard microtome for 1 x 3 and 2 x 3 paraffin sec...
