Gothic Town Hall of Münster
backlighting shot in the sun! Town Hall (Rathaus ) - a gothic structure from the mid-14th century with its famous Friedenssaal (Hall of Peace). The Historical City Hall of Münster is one of Münster, Germany's principal landmarks. Located on the principal market is next St. Paul's Cathedral. It is known for its role in the negotiations of the Peace of Westphalia, which concluded the Thirty Years' War in Europe and the Eighty Years' War between Spain and the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. Das alte Rathaus wurde im Jahr 1904 eingeweiht. Elemente der Gotik und Renaissance sind mit anderen historischen Baustilen vermischt. Das Bielefelder Stadtwappen ist im Giebel zu erkennen.
