SF Love Parade 2008 getting down at san Francisco's Civic Center. This image is taken from 120 still images stitched with gigapan stitcher version 0.4.2735 photos shot with canon G9 mounted on the gigapan panoramic robot. Exposure was variable ( notice some exposure issues as a result ) but otherwise pretty good for such a large crowd of moving people. |

This is taken from the center of the parade grounds, looking north. On the west (left) side is officer’s Row, you are seeing the back side of the houses, the fronts face the bay. The buildings on the east side are barracks for the enlisted men. Fort Hancock was decommissioned in 1972. It is now part of the National Park Service. |

This is taken from the center of officer’s row, looking east. These buildings face the bay, and are now abandoned. Behind these buildings are the Fort Hancock Parade grounds. You can just see the Sandy Hook Lighthouse to the left of the center building. Fort Hancock was decommissioned in 1972. It is now part of the National Park Service. June 17, 2009 - LA Lakers basketball fans at the corner of Figuroa and 30th St. waiting for the Lakers team victory parade. Just a quick small 51 image photo with camera on normal (no zoom). Very hard to shoot a crowd like this with so many people moving about. Olympus SP-350, 8mpg. John Post |

I ran out of space on the memory card, so this is most of the float - just missed the very front part! After the parade the floats are lined up on Naito Pkwy over the weekend, for the remainder of the festival. |

This ties into the Waterfront Village, which had a new theme this year - Dinosaur Jurassic Journey.
