Gothic Town Hall of Münster
backlighting shot in the sun! Town Hall (Rathaus ) - a gothic structure from the mid-14th century with its famous Friedenssaal (Hall of Peace). The Historical City Hall of Münster is one of Münster, Germany's principal landmarks. Located on the principal market is next St. Paul's Cathedral. It is known for its role in the negotiations of the Peace of Westphalia, which concluded the Thirty Years' War in Europe and the Eighty Years' War between Spain and the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. St. Lamberti – this hall church built between 1375 and 1450 owes its renown to the gruesome history surrounding the three cages suspended from the steeple of the church. In the mid 16th century they housed the bodies of the three leaders of the Anabaptist sect. My biggest Gigapan so far.
It took 70 minutes to take those 546 pics, and it was to cold ( ~-7°). The only thing i could do, to get me warm, is telling the tourists not to use their flashs till im done... |
