http://www.muenster.de/stadt/tourismus/en/old-town-area.html Münster's Old Town: A Spirited City Centre with an Exciting History Magnificent rows of historic buildings interspersed with modern architecture and contemporary works of sculptured art: Münster's historic Old Town is a spirited city centre where past and present meet. A unique selection of museums and exciting events fill the town with vibrant life. The Westphalian Museum of Art and Cultural History, the Pablo Picasso Museum of Graphic Arts and the Museum of Lacquered Art are all within walking distance from each other. Münster's City Museum and Municipal Theatre are also located in the Old Town. Münster's Prinzipalmarkt, St Lambert’s Church, the Town Hall commemorating the Peace of Westphalia, the Cathedral and its surrounding square are just a few of the city's architectural gems built during the past eight centuries. Münster is also a shopper's paradise offering top quality, distinctive products sold by local merchants in the main shopping areas along Prinzipalmarkt, Salzstraße as well as in the historic Rothenburg area and Kiepenkerl district. A variety of interesting shops can also be found along Ludgeristraße. In the heart of the city close to historic Prinzipalmarkt, the new shopping experience of the Münster Arcades connects the traditional shopping areas Ludgeristraße and Rothenburg. Typical of a university town, the pubs in the historic Kuhviertel area are a favourite of Münster's student population. A variety of old-fashioned restaurants throughout the Old Town serve traditional Westphalian fare. This unique combination of things to do and see in Münster makes visiting Westphalia's capital a truly memorable experience! |

Definitely not to be missed are the astronomical clock, a wonder of the late mediaeval period, the calendar of which extends to the year 2071, and the Domkammer, which, with its works of gold and cloth, numbers among the most important treasuries in Europe. |

This is a boring panoramic photo but it's the first one that I made using my beta gigapan imager. I used a Canon G10 but I will be retuning that camera because it lacks AEL and AFL. I'm thinking about the Canon 110 and/or the SX10 and/or the G9. Waddya think? |

Oops, all our clones escaped into the CITY PARK. We tried to catch them but there are simply just too many!
Can you help us locate them all? We are also desperatly trying to locate the cloning machine, since they keep coming in larger numbers! |

How many times can we be seen in this panorama of my friend's backyard?
Take snapshots for each of us. |

I re photographed this shot with an Epic 100 engineering prototype using the electronic trigger. I used a Canon Xsi with a battery holder and a Sigma APO 300mm lens. The panorama consists of 160 photographs out of a planned 200 photos. The exposure was ISO 100, 15 seconds, f11, Tungsten white balance adjusted to2900 Kelvin from RAW format. I used a fresh set of alkalines since my Ni-MH rechargeables were at a low voltage. I plan on using the expensive energizer lithium batteries due to the relatively colder weather of 35 degrees F. Alkaline mAh ratings are reduced under heavier loads or cold weather. |

Camera: Canon G-10. Conditions: low-light, planned to take w/ISO 400 but went with 100, +2 compensation, manual focus Note: I'm don't know why the upper part of the image in blurry; I imagine I did something wrong with setting up intial focus; very grainy, as expected, but can detect some subtle detail still

Gothic Town Hall of Münster
backlighting shot in the sun! Town Hall (Rathaus ) - a gothic structure from the mid-14th century with its famous Friedenssaal (Hall of Peace). The Historical City Hall of Münster is one of Münster, Germany's principal landmarks. Located on the principal market is next St. Paul's Cathedral. It is known for its role in the negotiations of the Peace of Westphalia, which concluded the Thirty Years' War in Europe and the Eighty Years' War between Spain and the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. The building was nearly destroyed in World War II, but it has since been rebuilt. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Exterior_of_the_historical_town_hall_M%C3%BCnster |

Authorized by the city of Canon City in 1929 the bridge is the highest suspension bridge over water in the world (1,053 feet). The river below is the Arkansas River. Note in the image the tourist train in the canyon and the wite-water rafters on the river. A helicopter is captured in three places as it does flight seeing. An aerial tram is seen in the far right of image. The image was caught with an Epic GigaPan and a Canon G10 having a 1.4X teleextender attached, giving an effective 200mm focal length. The GigaPan was optimized in Photoshop CS4. |
