Gigapan taken at PubCon's Search Engine Smackdown, Thursday, November 12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
On the stage, Matt Cutts of Google and his counterpart at Microsoft, Sean Suchter both explained recent innovations in their respective companies search capabilities. Matt played up personal (or social) search capabilities while Sean highlighted recent Semantic and Visual search capabilities rolled out on Bing. Overall, it was an entertaining and insightful talk...
In this photo, Matt Cutts is at the podium. The lighting in the civic center was not so great so it was hard to get a proper setting on the camera, which resulted in a final product that is a little grainier than I hoped for. For the most part, people sat pretty still throughout the shot (which is composed of 128 photos stitched into this one), so the mis-splices are relatively limited. If you are in the online search or advertising industry, search through the crowd and see if you recognize anyone that was there.
