3 Beaches & water-ski track on Lake "Rutbeek" near Enschede, the Netherlands (#2b)

This 2nd shot on this popular recreational location shows a lot of bathing and playing people.
This time I only shot 231 photo's because I was afraid that too many loose limbs and twisted people would be show up due to the movement.
Actually it wasn't too bad, I spend 3.5 hours to manipulate 25 photo's in such a way that the same playing or moving people would show up on surrounding photo's.
I think the result is worth exploring ! Apart from water ripples I think I caught the most noticable stitching errors !
If you start on the right side you will find a waterski track with 2 skiers plowing away and 2 fallen ones wondering what to do next. Next you can find boys playing with a frisbee and others with a ball in the water. Further to the left you can find countless people sunbathing and swimming on the next 3 beaches.
I stitched it on Mercator projection so that I can stretch it as an impressive sample on Canvas from Kodak (330 ppi input resolution on 600 dpi print of 1 by 6 meter). The first shot on this location is composed of 414 photo's and will be normally projected and geocoded so that you can see it on Google Earth !
It may take me a while to correct the gosts and twisted people on that 1775 Megapixel shot, so please check back later.

Hi Hans, Adding moving people to the surrounding shots takes time, but I think the result is worth it. Tom

Hi Tom, having a late night ? Like yourself, I'm experimenting with catching action in Gigapans. I really like the action shots in your "nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America" Gigapan ! I try to do it with the original photo's by using a large overlap (sometimes evn 50% so I can skip photo's). If you look at my "Airplanes touching down at Schiphol Airport" , you can see an example of that strategy. Everytime the Gigapan passed the traject where the planes passed by I stopped the automatic sequence, backed up one shot, waited for the next plane to approach, took a manual shot and the let the gigapan continue. Obviously a lot of these extra shots only caught half a plane, but 5 times I was lucky ! They still would show up only partially by the automatic stitcher program, but by copying the part in the overlap margin into the surrounding photo's this was corrected fairly easy ! Hans
